Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

The Carnation-Duvall Citizen Corps Council Volunteer EOC is modeled after the national standard Emergency Operations Center (EOC) organization structure used by the EOCs of most small cities. 
It is the tool for employing volunteers to back up professionals charged with command, control and coordination of the response and provides a means to coordinate the efforts of individual teams of volunteers as they work toward the common goal of stabilizing the incident and protecting life, property and the environment.

The Council will solicit volunteers to help in all assignments, three-deep, providing a 24-hour capability in the event primary professional staff may not be able to get to the EOC. Volunteer candidates for the EOC are encouraged to contact eoc@cdcncl.org and register for training in a preferred assignment.


Purpose

To provide a place where local government officials can do together what they cannot do separately. 

Where all official problems, actions and requirements can be voiced, displayed and acted upon.
 
Where decisions can be made to guide actions on the future
