Arlington County Medical Reserve Corps Arlington County Public Health is forming a Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) unit that will assist Public Health during emergencies and with other public health priorities. Public Health is recruiting current or retired or otherwise employed physicians, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, nurses, and others with relevant skills. MRC volunteers may be asked to do the following: Help at a mass immunization or medication clinic Assist epidemiology staff Provide outreach and education to isolated community members Supplement Public Health clinic staff during emergencies The Arlington County MRC is a collaborative effort between the Office of Emergency Management and the Department of Human Services, Public Health Division. The MRC is a component of the Citizen Corps initiative which in turn is part of USA Freedom Corps.
