Building A Nation Prepared: Citizen Corps Preparedness Checklist To Appear IN Parade Magazine On Sunday, October 20th

WHAT: Parade highlights Citizen Corps' initiative to encourage Americans to use the extra hour gained from Daylight Saving Time to safeguard their homes.

A checklist is provided in Parade to guide citizens on ways they can help protect their families, homes and communities from threats of terrorism, crime and other emergency situations.

The mission of Citizen Corps, a component of USA Freedom Corps, is to harness the power of individual citizens through education, training, and volunteer opportunities to make communities safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to disasters of all kinds. FEMA coordinates the overall efforts of promoting and facilitating volunteer opportunities through Citizen Corps.
