  12. The San Ramon Citizen Corps Council was established by a resolution of the City Council of the City of San Ramon on December 19th, 2005. The mission of the Citizen Corps Council is to promote emergency preparedness among the community. The City of San Ramon has joined efforts with the Town of Danville, the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Together an elected official of each jurisdiction sits on a joint council to manage the program together.
