Reserve deputies and Posse deputies are law enforement officers who have full time non-law enforcement jobs and volunteer their time to assisting full time officers in all duties and areas of the Dallas County Sheriff's Department. They also incorporate the Dallas County Citizen Support Team whose members are civilians that have successfully passed a department sponsored Citizen Academy. All volunteers participate in various training offered by the department to enhanse their volunteer efforts and assignments.
