The mission of the St. Lucie County Citizen Corps is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and volunteer service to make our communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kinds. The St. Lucie County Citizen Corps mission is accomplished by building on community strengths by working with our public safety agencies to implement Citizen Corps volunteer programs such as our Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), Citizens Observation Patrol (COP-VIPs), and Neighborhood Watch. We also encourage and support new initiatives such as Fire Corps/ALERT and NET Guard.
