| Brief Description: | A few of our towns call on the CERT Team to help round out the towns response services. Between the CERT Team and RACES Team we have 45 members. Kennebec County EMA supports and helps fund two HAM Radio repeater sites and a large amount of radio equipment. CERT and RACES Team members are also trained on our custom Command trailer as well as the EMA command 4x4 truck. Both teams are willing to work in the EOC as needed. |

| Brief Description: | The Knox RACES-CERT provides routine and emergency communications (voice and data) for citizens of Knox County and the State of Maine during exercises and response/recovery operations for simulated and actual emergencies or disasters. The team also provides public education and testing for amateur licensure throughout the year. The team meets monthly (second Saturday at 1300) at the Knox County EMA office and participates in regularly scheduled activities. |

| Brief Description: | HEART is the Hancock County Maine Emergency Animal Response Team. We offer pet first aid classes for the public and educational events in preparing for emergencies and the care of pets. We participate in state-wide trainings, meet on a monthly basis, prepare ourselves to be able to set up a pet shelter alongside human shelters in the event of a disaster. |

Often serving as remote "eyes and ears" for our county EMA, we employ communication technologies that operate independantly of commercial infrastructure, so when all else fails, we're still on the air... locally, nationally and globally. |

| Brief Description: | The Franklin County CERT has 12 members who have completed the on line ICS trainings. Twelve have completed the basic CERT module training, basic first aid and RED CROSS shelter training. There are 2 members who have taken training to respond to behavioral issues in an emergency. There are 4 who also have their Amateur Radio licenses. The team also participated in Public informational activties. The team meets the second Wednesday of each month except July and August. |

| Brief Description: | Midcoast SAR provides services as a Type III Wilderness SAR team in addition to core missions of CERT. The team is based in Knox County but has members from outside the county and has responded to emergencies outside it's home county. All members must attain CERT/CPR/Basic ICS and Maine CONOPS as primary training followed by focused-specialty mission SAR training. |
