| Brief Description: | The training is designed for citizens with little or no training in the areas listed below, but those with some skills in these areas are also welcome to attend the training and participate in a CERT team. Homeowners or neighborhood groups, PTAs, service and social clubs, churches, businesses, or a group of individuals from a neighborhood are ideal groups to form CERT teams. The only requirements are that you be over 18 years old and live, work or volunteer in Jefferson County. |

| Brief Description: | The MOV Regional CERT program is growing by leaps and bounds. We had 6 graduating classes since the beginning of 2012 with another one scheduled in October. The third annual Bike for a Cure event will be on April 27,2013. A few other trainings held so far: CPR/AED, PER 280, Basic 1st Responder 1st Aid,Monthly CERT Meetings, Bike for a Cure meetings & more training from the State is being offered. |

| Brief Description: | The Tyler County Office of Emergency Management offers many types of volunteer training including Search and Rescue and Volunteer Mobilization Operations. Theis office holds a monthly meeting that welcomes all local volunteers, County Commission, and Homeland Security. | Brief Description: | Teen CERT training occurs every fall on Mondays during the school year. The James Monroe High School JROTC is the core group, but students from Monroe County Technical Center have joined in 2013. We will have approximately 80 trained Teen CERT members as of the end of November 2012. |
