Brief Description: The Lucas Fire and Rescue department conducts Community Emergency Response Team(CERT) training for citizens that live or work in the city of Lucas. CERT training is usually held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm for nine weeks. In order to be eligible to attend CERT Training, you must be eighteen (18) years old,hold a valid Texas drivers license, pass a background check and attend all 9 units. Brief Description: Team members designed a CERT vest which was manufactured locally. The teams have responded to major fires, flooods and severe weather events at the local, regional and national levels. The original team missions of firefighter rehab & incident management assistance are the main priorities and comprise the majority of responses. Brief Description: The South Plains CERT (SP-CERT) is a program of the South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG). Brief Description: Fannin County CERT functions under the Office of Emergency Management. The CERT Basic Course is offered 2 to 3 times per year. Brief Description: The Ingleside CERT Program is run in conjunction with the Ingleside Fire Corps and serve a 12 county area. We meet every month training. Brief Description: The City of Allen started its CERT training and responder programs in 2006. The Allen CERT training program incorporates a combination of dedicated volunteer citizens and Allen Fire-Rescue firefighter/paramedic personnel as CERT training program instructors. The Allen CERT responder program is managed and dispatched under the auspices of the Battalion Chiefs in the Operations department.
