Brief Description: Generally our Providence CERT Team meets once a month on the First Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held at Providence Emergency Management Agency located at 591 Charles Street in Providence from 6pm-7pm. Meetings generally last an hour and can change in time if there is a guest speaker.

Brief Description: The Cranston CERT works with the Fire and Police Departments to ensure the City is ready to respond to emergencies. They also assist in setting up and staffing shelters, running communications, are intricate in staffing our alternative hospitals in emergencies.

Brief Description: Training has been conducted for all members of the CERT program in the past and plans are underway to recruit and recertify new and existing members of the team. The Central Falls EMA has called on members of the team to assist in the recent H1N1 clinic and recent flooding of our nearby Blackstone River. This team has proved to be a valuable assest to our emergency response to the community.

Brief Description: Cumberland CERT meets 5-6 times per year at the Cumberland Police Department Community Room. We are a group of 25 community members who have been actively participating in the H1N1 flu vaccination clinics the pasty two years and supporint local public safety when required. In addition, CERT has supported local community events by assisting with traffic control, parking control, information/direction, etc.

Brief Description: Portsmouth Citizen Volunteer Team members perform vital functions in times of emergencies. Citizen Volunteers of all ages and abilities are needed and welcomed. Citizen volunteers do not perform law enforcement, firefighting, or potentially dangerous tasks. Citizen Volunteers do perform other important tasks needed to keep our fellow citizens safe, secure, and supplied in emergencies. Training will be provided for all volunteers.

Brief Description: The CERT program at URI successfully trained students, staff, and faculty during the Fall 2011 semester and is now planning a training series for the Spring 2012 semester. The units are offered once per week and are scheduled from participant feedback from an availability survey. A CERT student group affiliated with this program has also been established. Brief Description: Narragansett and South Kingstown Emergency Management Agencies recognize the need for an organized and trained group of volunteers that can respond to a disaster or the imminent threat of disaster within the community. This group of volunteers is known as the Volunteer Community Support and Assistance Team. The team is supported by volunteers from the Southern Rhode Island Volunteers who provide support and logistics to the team.
