Brief Description:	The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus-Allegany Region Emergency Support (CCARES) Citizen Corps Council has Community Emergency Response Teams, a Volunteers in Police Service unit, and a Medical Reserve Corps to support disaster response in the western Southern Tier of New York. The mission of CCARES organizations is to encourage and support the participation of all residents in efforts to make themselves, our communities, and our nation safer and better prepared.

Brief Description:	Stueben County is a large rural county located in Upstate New York. Because of the make up of our county we have been using the CERT Training as "General Emergency Preparedness Training" Program and have not used it to organize particular teams at this point. Some communities in the county have supported involvement in the course and use it to support Neighborhood Watch Teams.

Brief Description:	The Town of Union CERT Training Program is a community outreach program. It is intended to provide community residents with the basic disaster preparedness skills necessary to help them when confronted with a large scale disaster or an everyday emergency.

Brief Description:	The Greenburgh CERT meets once a month at the Greenburgh Town Hall. Each meeting training is conducted on different Emergency topics. Teams members have been called out to assist the Police, Fire and EMS with natural and man made emergencies. CERT members also assist the Police Department with community outreach and education on emergency preparedness and Crime Prevention. The Greenburgh CERT accepts new members all year round. The Basic CERT Course is offered twice a year.

Brief Description:	The SUNY Oneonta program was created in the fall of 2010 in order to make sure that the SUNY Oneonta campus, as well as the City of Oneonta, has more people properly trained to respond to emergency situations. Within the first 72 hours of any major emergency, first responders become overwhelmed and resources become spread very thin. The SUNY Oneonta CERT is designed to supplement both SUNY Oneonta Campus and City of Oneonta first responders during any type emergency situation.

Brief Description:	The Ogden/Spencerport CERT Team has received extensive training in the National Incident Management System and Point of Dispensing Operation in preparation for a Chemical/Biological/Radiological/Nuclear/Explosive event. Brief Description:	The primary objective of SB C-CERT shall be to render assistance to University Police OEM at the SUNY at Stony Brook, within the function and scope of training of SB C-CERT members. SB C-CERT shall provide emergency response, supplies, and scene support to all incidents where SB C-CERTs presence is required and has been activated. Brief Description:	Rensselaer County CERT Team is a County asset that is over seen by Rensselaer County Public Safety. The Team is a diverse team that has also had the Red Cross Sheltering class and is available to open shelters in time of need. Brief Description:	The Rochester Fire Department responded to September 11, 2001 by creating the FIRST New York State CERT model. We were also the FIRST community to implement CERT in our public and private school systems. It is our hope that Rochester CERT teamsÃÂ,on top of their role as secondary emergency responders, will take on the important mission of teaching and informing our citizensÃÂ on all-hazard disaster prevention.

Brief Description:	NYC CERT members undergo an intensive 10-week training program that provides basic response skills needed for fire safety, light search and rescue, community disaster support, disaster medical operations and traffic management. NYC CERT instructors are FDNY, NYPD, and OEM personnel. NYC CERT members are trained to support New York City's first responders and are deployed through NYC OEM Watch Command.
