Brief Description:	We continue to expand CERT and VIPS involvement in the community. Many community organizations and events benefit from CERT Team participation. Many of these organizations have already contacted us and include the Boy Scouts of America, Rochester Area Public Schools, the Older Persons Commission, the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce, Oakland University, Crittenton Hospital, and of course the numerous Rochester Area festivals and parades.

Brief Description:	Muskegon County CERT has programs available for various kinds of volunteers. CERT may be requested by the local amateur radio group to provide assistance in various situations, including traffic control for special events and for local 5k runs. Trained CERT participate in Search and Rescue efforts as well. CERT is the non medical side of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).

Brief Description:	Livonia's professional responders are well trained and prepared to handle everyday emergencies. However, large-scale emergencies could easily overwhelm Livonia's response capabilities, resulting in possible delays of police and fire service. The primary reason for our Livonia CERT program is to give people the decision-making, organizational, and practical skills to help them provide immediate assistance to family members, neighbors, and co-workers until professional responder arrives.

Brief Description:	The Novi CERT team conducts quarterly meetings to provide additional training along with updates. Brief Description:	The City of East Lansing CERT was established in the spring of 2011. In addition to the team's disaster response capability the team functions in a support role for multiple community functions and festivals. Brief Description:	CERT has been utilized in a number of community events such as festivals and the Vietnam Moving Wall display. CERT participated in a full-scale exercise in 2010 involving an active shooter scenario at a large rural high school. In March 2011, CERT was utilized for crowd control and evacuation during a large commercial building fire, whereas over 100 firefighters were deployed to fight the fire.

Brief Description:	This CERT team is comprised of local students from Lake Michigan Catholic High School. It includes all 4 grade levels in the high school. Brief Description:	The Mecosta County CERT program is a new program that falls under the direction of Mecosta County Emergency Management. When emergencies happen, Warren CERT members give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. Warren CERT members also provide non-emergency projects that improve the safety of the community.
