Brief Description: Our local CERT hopes to become more active in S&R, supporting the Owyhee Co. Sheriff. We also hope to extend CERT training to the Murphy and Grand View areas. We look forward to becoming actively involved in the Owyhee County LEPC. CERT members have volunteered at local immunization clinics during pandemic events. Training is usually conducted 2 Saturdays per month at the Marsing Lizard Butte Library. We support the local Emergency Preparedness Fairs in Marsing and Homedale.

Brief Description: Latah County CERT also has training in HazMat placards; meth labs; utility turn on/shut off; GPS and mapping; sandbagging; CPR. CERT participates in at least 7 events a year by providing traffic control; promote fire safety with Smokey Bear; have tables with public information and items for free raffle drawings.We are cross-training with our Latah Co SAR.

Brief Description: Fremont County CERT conducted over 3,800 fire risk assessments for structures in the Wildland-Urban Interface from 2005-2008.

Brief Description: In Ada County, CERT training can be arranged for neighborhood or other community groups of 15-20 students. These classes are generally offered over the course of one week on two weekday nights and all day on Saturday. This program is centered on identifying groups of people that are already joined together through place of employment, neighborhood associations, social or faith based organizations in an effort to create teams that will train and potentially respond together.

Brief Description: Our CERT Team is presently looking for volunteers to raise the number of members on the team. We recently acquired a trailer to make all of our CERT Team equipment more mobile and can be staged at a scene where the CERT Team is needed.
