| Brief Description: | The Marshall County CERT Progarm has a new CERT Liaison Officer to the EMA; Phil Mayer is spearheading a campaign to get old members more involved in 2011 CERT Programs and Initiatives as well as reaching out to new groups to receive the training and recruiting new Instructors. The CERT volunteers have been a great benefit to the communites, first responders and community action agencies who have been affected by tornados and high wind events in the past two years as well as previous years. |

| Brief Description: | We plan to provide CERT basic training classes quarterly throughout the year. CERT classes are typically conducted in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday in three hour sessions for three weeks. At the completion on all sessions a practical exercise is held to demonstrate and test the skills of the material covered by each of the classes. Our goal is to have a CERT team in every community in all parts of our county in order to better equip our citizens to help each other in times of disaster. |

| Brief Description: | Our first class of 2011 was started on February 12. We currently have 21 students enrolled in this session. The classes will be held on the following dates: Feb. 12,26, March 12,26 The Final is April 9, 2011. Our next scheduled class for 2011 will begin in May or June. we hope to Get the community better prepared incase of a emergency or disaster. We want more churches, neighborhood watch groups, and businesses trained in CERT. This will give the community more "First Responders". |

| Brief Description: | The Coffee County CERT is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization created to enhance disaster preparedness and emergency response for the citizens of Coffee County. We accomplish this through participation in community awareness events, various training programs and drills and providing volunteer support to the Coffee County Fire and Police Departments when a disaster strikes or upon activation by the Coffee County EMA office in the event of an emergency. |
